Jean Sévigny has been selected by the economic newspaper of Quebec "Le Journal Économique de Quebec - Transcontinental" as a member of the 100 contractors under 40 years of age, and in the top 10 of the category "R & D and TI" (research and development and technology information), of the areas of Quebec, the Boiler-Appalachian Mountains and of the Low-Saint-Laurent, edition 2004. Maria Fernandes's grant application submitted to the New Opportunities Fund competition was approved for funding by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) for the amount of 440,698$. This equipment grant will help establish infrastructure necessary to study proteins in live cells.
