The long-term objective
is aimed at showing that during pathologic bone
resorption of chronic inflammatory arthritides,
such as that of rheumatoid arthritis, gout and
chronic infectious arthritis, neutrophils could
be potentially active in the excessive local bone
resorption by activating directly or indirectly
bone remodeling.
These projects are supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), National Institutes of Health (NIH/USA), The Arthritis Society (TAS) of Canada and Canadian Arthritis Network (CAN/RCA).
